This box is one of the simplest fuse box Japanese origami , and a classic of economy and efficiency . you may feel that you need an extra pair of hands towards the end, but the model is perfectly achievable. You’ll need four colours (or four of different colours).
1- Start with a square, lighter side upwards, and crease in half.
2- Fold the top edge to the centre crease. Turn the paper over.
3- Fold in half from side to side, crease and unfold, turn the paper over again
4- Crease the lower right diagonal and unfold .
5- Fold the lower left corner to the centre.
6- Une the creases shown to form the paper into three dimensions. You’ll need to pinch the upper third of the centrecreases into a valley.
7- Swing the triangular flap downwards to finish the unit. Then make three more.
8- Arrange two units as shown and slide thern partially into each other. Follow the while arrows carefully to see which flap slides where.
9- Position all four units lossely. When they are in place, slide in each pair, little by little, until they are tight together.
10- The completed box and lid.
